Pay Rate: Depending on Experience (£11.47 – £12.98 per hour) 37 hrs a week

Background:
Join our Market Services department at NIE Networks, where we provide crucial services to the Retail and Wholesale electricity markets. Our team plays a vital role in customer registration, processing metering data, and billing functions. We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Meter Data Processing team on a temporary basis of up to 15 months.

The Role:
As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide efficient and effective support to our Meter Data Processing Team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing incoming telephone calls from engineers conducting metering updates.
  • Updating and maintaining team spreadsheets and metering records.
  • Validating metering and meter reading data.
  • Proactively addressing internal and external queries and resolving complaints.

The Individual – Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C including Mathematics and English Language; or minimum two years relevant experience preferably in a clerical/administrative role.
  • Developed IT Skills (including MS Office and MS Excel).
  • Strong numerical skills with good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Current UK driving licence & access to a vehicle for use as required.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a busy office environment.
  • Previous experience interacting and communicating directly with customers.
