Administrative Officer – BELFAST – RHI
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour
Location: Adelaide House, 39-49 Adelaide Street, Belfast BT2 8FD
Start Date: 27/07/2026
Expected Duration: 4th October 2026 with possibility of extension
Working Hours: Full time. 9am-5pm. Mon-Fri
Requirements: 5 GCSE’S C and Above (Including Maths and English).
- Essential: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook experience
- Desirable: Customer Service experience

Main Duties include: The purpose of the AO role within RHI Scheme Management is to deliver the day-to-day administration of scheme processes, ensuring that all participant information, submissions and interactions are handled accurately, consistently and in line with regulations and standard operating procedures.
This includes processing conversion from old to new RHI Scheme and Annual Declarations, verifying and recording data in core systems, engaging with participants to resolve queries or obtain missing information, and progressing cases through each stage of the workflow to support timely payment or escalation, while maintaining clear audit trails and supporting compliance and assurance requirements.
Although not an exhaustive list, the main areas of responsibility and duties include:
- Case Processing and Administration – process conversion from old to new RHI Scheme, Annual Declarations and related correspondence in line with standard operating procedures.
- Customer Service – act as a key point of contact for participants and Authorised Signatories, issuing communications and resolving queries or requests for further information.
- Data Entry and System Updates – accurately record and update information across core systems.
- Verification and Validation – review submitted information for completeness and consistency, identifying missing or incorrect data prior.
- Workflow Management – progress cases, including monitoring deadlines, managing queries and ensuring timely follow‑up actions.
- Document and Records Management – maintain structured and accurate records, ensuring all documentation is properly saved and auditable.
- Escalation and Issue Identification – identify non‑engagement, risks or potential non‑compliance and escalate in line with procedures.
- Compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) – carry out all tasks in accordance with agreed SOPs, maintaining consistency, accuracy and adherence to scheme rules.
- Audit and Assurance Support – maintain clear audit trails of all actions and decisions to support assurance, compliance activity and reporting requirements.
