We are recruiting on behalf of our public sector client for an experienced Administrative Officer to join the Finance Branch. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational and administrative skills seeking a long-term temporary position within a supportive public sector environment.

Location: FCAD, Newforge (Free parking available)
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Contract: Temporary Ongoing
Grade: Administrative Officer (AO)

Main Duties

You will support the Finance System Project Manager by providing administrative and coordination support, including:

• Maintaining project plans, trackers, risk and issue logs, and governance documentation
• Assisting with project reporting and progress updates
• Organising meetings, including project boards, and preparing accurate minutes
• Managing and updating key project documentation
• Providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the project

Essential Criteria

Applicants must have:

• Two GCSEs, including Maths and English (Grade C or equivalent)
• At least 6 months’ experience in an administrative support role
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with colleagues and external stakeholders
