Job Title: Administrative Officer
Location: Newry
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6-12 Months
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
Rate of Pay: £12.36 Per Hour
Main Duties Include:
- Issuing Decision/Re-issuing Documentation: Producing decision documents for complex cases including files, multi-defendants, ROI files, fatality, and murder cases.
- Investigation of Re-issues: Investigating re-issues within one day of files being returned from court support. Allocating files for re-issue or having cases marked up for locate and trance.
- Peer Assurance of Decision Output: Conducting a nominal check of decision documentation issued. Signing and dating the checklist on the file and recording for audit purposes.
- Administration of Unserved Summonses: Carrying out follow-up actions for unserved summonses in accordance with staff instructions. Liaising with police for updates and lodging summonses in court.
- Assisting in Casework Management: Providing assistance to the EO2 as required, ensuring all objectives are delivered within agreed quality standards and timescales. Daily monitoring of caseloads, allocation of tasks, and supervision/training of AA staff.
- Youth Conferencing: Processing all Youth Conferencing documentation at referral, plan, and completion stages within 1 working day of receipt. Updating Youth Conference spreadsheet with relevant information on the same day.
- Communication: Handling telephone calls in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner. Promptly transferring calls to the relevant section and dealing with queries and requests from Lawyers, Police, Solicitors, etc., in a helpful and professional manner.
Essential Criteria:
- 5 GCSEs including Maths & English graded A to C or the level 2 equivalent (Must supply evidence).
- Successful candidate will be subject to an Access NI check.
