Agriculture Inspector Grade 3 – Sustainable Land Management Greenmount Campus.

We are currently recruiting for an Agriculture Inspector Grade 3 based in Greenmount. 

Start date: ASAP

Rate of pay: £21.35 per hour

Duration: Until 26/01/2026 with possible extension

Location: CAFRE Greenmount Campus

Hours of work: Mon – Fri (9.00am – 5.00pm)

Main Duties:

Reporting to the Senior Carbon Technologist the main duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:

To plan and deliver innovative technology investigations formed around practices that support carbon sequestration and reductions in agricultural emissions.

To collate farm data for carbon foot printing and innovative technical investigations at the CAFRE farms.

To provide knowledge transfer and industry training, with particular focus on practices/technologies that support carbon sequestration and reductions in agricultural emissions.

To develop technical resources for print, website and social media on carbon sequestration and reduction of agricultural emissions

To provide technical support to CAFRE and NIRDP Innovation Schemes, CAFRE management and Policy and Education

To attend carbon team meetings.

Other duties in line with the business needs of CAFRE and DAERA.

Essential Criteria applicants must have:

– The applicant must possess an Honours – Degree in Agriculture or related discipline

– Hold a Full UK Driving Licence

– 5 GCSE’s at grade C and above including Maths and English & A Degree

– Must complete an Access NI
