Job Role: Agriculture Lecturer
Location: Greenmount, Antrim
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 Months (potential extension)
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, 37 hours per week
Rate of Pay: £19.55 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
The primary role of a Grade 3 Lecturer in Land Based Engineering is to interpret, analyse, and present technical information to students.
- Prepare and maintain lecture notes for delivery to 2 groups of Land Based Engineering students.
- Assist with the delivery of open days and any other student recruitment exercises as required.
- Deliver Land Based Engineering units as per set timetable.
- Mark exams and assignments within a given timeframe for the units that you deliver.
- Assist with invigilation of exams or class tests as and when required.
- Adhere to policies and guidelines set by the employer and awarding organisation for the qualification.
- Be willing to learn new subjects/modules and ICT systems in order to be able to deliver these to students in their education programme.
Essential Criteria:
- BSc (Hons) Minimum 2.2 Classification in Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Mechanisation, or Mechanical Engineering (or related subject).
- A full and current driving licence enabling the licence holder to drive a car in Northern Ireland.
- Must complete Access NI check
Desired Experience:
- Experience of working with young people in a teaching environment.
- A 16-seater Minibus Licence would be an advantage for this role but is not essential.
