Job Title: Assembly Operative (Technical)

Salary: £13.30 per hour

Hours: Full time. Monday – Thursday 7:30-4 and 7:30-1 on a Friday

Here at The Recruitment Co, we re currently recruiting Assembly Operatives to work for a company based in Cwmbran on a temporary contract. This line of work is likely to last 4 weeks. This could extend longer.

The ideal candidate would have some previous technical experience where they have done Assembly work previously and some experience of understanding Engineering drawings.

To provide full production support within the Manufacturing Department. The role primarily deals with the performing of routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes.
Critical to the role is the understanding of product quality requirements and the importance of meeting and exceeding customer needs.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing full production support to the department by producing the company’s products to the highest standard of quality
• Undertake assembly work to the highest quality and in line with defined processes
• Complete part inspections to ensure conformity of product
• Seek ways to constantly improve productivity, quality and safety
• Seek ways to constantly achieve process improvements
• Pro-actively promote and contribute to the culture of meeting and exceeding customer demands

Key Experience

• High attention to detail; ability to accurately follow assembly instruction
• Use of MS Office Word and Outlook to basic level
• Ability to operate in and contribute to a safe work environment
• Highly motivated and dedicated to exceed customer expectations
• Ability to meet all production and quality standards
• Manual lifting
• Use of basic hand and machine tools; safe handling of solvent glues and alcohol cleaner
• Previous assembly work experience is essential with an understanding of drawings
