Asset Governance Officer.

Hours: 36.25 hours per week
Days: Monday – Friday
Pay Rate: £18.22 per hour
Contract: 6 months initially
Start: Immediate

We are currently recruiting an experienced Asset Governance Officer to support a busy Service Support Centre based in Lisburn. This role plays a vital part in the management, governance, and compliance of fleet, equipment, PPE, and associated assets, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and lifecycle control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full lifecycle of fleet, equipment, PPE, and uniform assets
• Maintain and update the Stock & Asset Management Information System (MIS)
• Ensure asset compliance with regulatory, governance, and health & safety standards
• Process asset movements, inspections, servicing schedules, and disposals
• Produce detailed reports, audits, and management information for senior stakeholders
• Act as a subject matter expert, providing asset governance advice and support
• Liaise with internal teams and external service providers to resolve asset-related issues
• Support investigations into asset non‑compliance, defects, or data discrepancies
• Raise purchase orders and requisitions in line with procurement procedures
• Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, processes, and reporting

Essential Criteria:

• Relevant qualification (degree, HND, A‑levels or equivalent) supported by experience
• Significant experience in a demanding office environment with asset management and MIS systems
• Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Effective communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Access to suitable transport to meet role requirements
