We are currently recruiting a Bakery Cook to join our client in Newry
  • 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Hours can be discussed
  • £11.11 per hour
  • Immediate start
Job duties :
  1. Prepare a wide range of bakery goods
  2. Monitor stock
  3. Responsible for the preparation, cooking, despatch and serving of all meals, snacks and beverages in all associated areas to the agreed menus and standards
  4. Cater for any dietary requirements and special functions as they may arise
  5. Utilise staff, materials and equipment in an efficient and effective manner to minimise wastage
  6. Report defects in equipment, linen and food commodities and ensure that these are rectified
  7. Be aware and observe Health and Safety regulations and all other appropriate legislation
  8. Ensure the proper use and handling of the equipment
  9. Ensure the correct cleaning, washing up and storage of crockery, equipment and other associated utensils within the department
  10. Maintain records
  11. Ensure the food is cooked and stored in hygienic practices
  12. Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and tidy at all times

Qualifications Required

  • NVQ level 2 in Food Preparation and Cooking or have at least two years relevant experience
  • Level 2 Food Safety qualification
