Salary: £45,000 per annum Company Car
Discretionary Bonus (profit &performance related)
Sales Bonus (open ended)

Hours: Full time & permanent Monday – Friday (08:30 – 17:00) 37.5 hour week

Here at The Recruitment Co we are currently recruiting a Business Development Manager to work for a company based in the Crosskeys area.

You would be working for the UK’s largest independent, prepainted, steel processor established in 1972 with revenues in the region of £65m pa is seeking a Business Development Manager.
Reporting to the Head of Group Commercial this challenging role will offer considerable scope for development and growth within this well structured Group.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level with a desire to forge a career managing and developing significant sales.

Main Job Roles

  • Seek new Business Development opportunities that offer synergy to the Group Commercial Strategy,
  • Identify, upsell and cross sell opportunities with existing clients,
  • Generation of new Business, pitch, present and develop relationships,
  • Developing and managing customers in the UK and abroad,
  • Liaise with internal sales and delivery teams to ensure we are providing a market leading service,
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets,
  • Use and update the CRM system to manage activity and pipeline,
  • Conduct business reviews to ensure we are providing an exceptional service and meeting regulatory obligations.

Required experience

  • Strong personal skills, ability to engage and forge strong relationships,
  • Ability and desire to succeed,
  • Enjoyment of relationship building and account management,
  • Ability to own a sales cycle from start to finish,
  • Knowledge of Steel markets advantageous but not necessary,
  • Contribute effectively within a team environment. Work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A strong commercial acumen,
  • A demonstrable history of consistently achieving new business and commercial targets,
  • Experience of prospecting, negotiating and closing complex (contracted) sales,
  • Offering multiple products options to prospective new business clients,
  • The ability to upsell to existing accounts across our growing portfolio of products,
  • Responsible for maintaining and increasing clients spend across Capital portfolio,
  • The ability to build and grow strong relationships across an organisation and with external customers,
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, communication and organisational skills,
  • The ability to create and subsequently communicate customer facing documents and presentations to a high standard.#
