We are currently recruiting Catering Assistants for an immediate start in Newry.

Pay Rates

• £12.71 per hour Monday to Friday
• £17.92 per hour Saturday
• £23.26 per hour Sunday

Available Shifts

Catering Assistant – 32.5 Hours per Week

• Monday to Friday
• 7:30am – 2:30pm and 10:00am – 5:00pm

Catering Assistant – 32.5 Hours per Week

• Monday to Friday
• 7:30am – 2:30pm and 1:00pm – 8:00pm
• Occasional weekend work required

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and service of food and beverages
• Serving customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Replenishing food, beverages, condiments and supplies as required
• Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen, dining and service areas
• Clearing tables and ensuring dining areas are kept tidy
• Following all food hygiene, health & safety and infection control procedures
• Assisting with stock rotation and storage of deliveries
• Ensuring all equipment is cleaned and stored correctly after use

Dishwashing Duties

• Loading and unloading commercial dishwashers
• Refilling dishwasher chemicals and cleaning products as required
• Emptying and cleaning dishwashers at the end of service
• Washing pots, pans, utensils and catering equipment
• Ensuring crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment are cleaned to required standards
• Maintaining a clean and organised wash-up area
• Reporting any equipment faults or maintenance issues

Requirements

• Previous catering experience is desirable but not essential
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment
• Good understanding of hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work
