The Recruitment Co are hiring a full time Chef for their public sector client based in Dundee.

Pay rate: £13.05 Per Hour

Location: Dundee

Contract: Ongoing temporary contract

Shifts: 37.5 hours per week – 5 days out of 7 – alternating early & mid shifts – weekend work involved

Early shift – 06.00-14.00

Mid shift – 10.00-18.00

Candidates must be able to provide 3 years of references with all gaps accounted for.

Duties:

• Prepare, cook and serve a wide range of dishes.
• Following various recipes.
• Plating up meals for service.
• Ensuring high standards are met maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
• Control of food safety and quality through continuous monitoring of food temperature.
• Maintain accurate and appropriate records.
• Work within a team of kitchen staff.

Requirements

• SVQ Level 3 Catering (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of work procedures, practices and equipment for a catering service.
• The ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
• The ability to follow and convey instructions.
• Effective communication skills.
• The ability to cope with work under pressure.
