Job Opportunity: Cleaner / Janitor – Larne
Location: Larne Rate of Pay: £12.85 per hour Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 10:00am – 6:00pm
- Friday: 10:30am – 6:00pm
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Cleaner/Janitor to help maintain high standards of cleanliness, security, and presentation across designated buildings in Larne.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning & Maintenance
- Clean all internal and external areas including communal spaces, toilets, kitchens, and glass surfaces.
- Operate mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment safely.
- Ensure external drains and bin areas remain clean and free-flowing.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies.
- Security Duties
- Open and close buildings as required.
- Monitor access points, secure windows, doors, and gates.
- Operate burglar alarms and maintain key custody.
- Report unauthorised access or breaches.
- Room Preparation & Support
- Prepare rooms for meetings including layout of refreshments and materials.
- Assist in ceremonial functions and ad-hoc duties as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: At least six months’ experience in cleaning and security within industrial, commercial or public premises.
- Skills: Ability to understand basic safety instructions in English and confidently interact with the public.
