Job Title: Collections Agent
Working Location: Initial trainging to be completed in Office (Redditch) then fully remote
Salary: £21,700 (OTE £30,000 to £50,000+)

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct outbound calls to customers with outstanding debts to our local authority clients or third parties acting on their behalf.
• Collect payments in full while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
• Demonstrate empathy, composure, and professionalism when dealing with a diverse range of customers, making recovery decisions based on individual case circumstances.
• Gather questionnaire details from customers facing financial difficulties.
• Negotiate payment arrangements following guidelines and exercise initiative if full payment cannot be collected.
• Refer cases, when necessary, to relevant debt advisory groups and associated organizations to assist vulnerable customers.
• Review and update database notes and account statuses, ensuring accurate and professional record-keeping.
• Handle customer correspondence, formulating appropriate responses.
