Immediate starts, temporary position
A temporary, full‑time opportunity (£22.65 per hour) is available for an experienced Contract and Performance Manager to support the delivery, monitoring, and governance of planned maintenance contracts. The role involves ensuring strong contract performance, leading a small team, and providing assurance across construction‑related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor planned maintenance contracts.
- Support development of contract management processes and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with policies, legislation, and best practice.
- Lead and manage technical/professional staff to meet targets.
- Provide contract guidance, including escalation and dispute support.
- Produce KPI reports, performance statistics, and management information.
- Maintain accurate data within reporting systems and support risk management.
- Prepare information for audits, FOI requests, and senior reporting.
- Participate in training delivery, working groups, and team meetings.
- Manage second‑stage complaints and assist procurement with new contract mobilisation.
Essential Criteria
- Degree/Level 6 qualification in a construction‑related field OR 5 years relevant construction experience.
- Chartered status or commitment to achieving it.
- 5 years construction industry experience (last 5 years), including 3 years managing/overseeing/reporting on KPIs in construction contracts.
- Experience in at least two areas: contract management processes, contract advice, delivering training, or construction procurement.
- Strong planning, organisational, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Driving licence or access to transport.
