Contract Manager / Senior Contract Manager
Location: Halifax
Salary:

• Contract Manager: Up to £45,000
• Senior Contract Manager: Up to £60,000

Company: We are a trusted recruitment agency collaborating with a dynamic organization based in Halifax, seeking a Contract Manager or Senior Contract Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing projects, building client relationships, and contributing to the success of the company.
General Responsibilities:

• Maintain and nurture excellent client relationships.
• Successfully deliver multiple projects on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction.
• Take full ownership of multiple project budgets and report financial performance to the Board.
• Manage technical and commercial contractual agreements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Estimate the necessary resources and participants required to achieve project goals.
• Develop comprehensive project plans and related communication documents.
• Produce, negotiate, and agree on valuations and variations.
• Issue on-site written instructions.
• Ensure all necessary CVIs (Client Variations Instructions) and RFIs (Request for Information) are properly documented and recorded.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Maintain accurate records of room availability throughout projects.
• Ensure that all works are signed off as complete.
• Maintain precise records of all project works, snags, damage, etc., to protect the company commercially.
• Fulfill any reasonable tasks assigned by your line manager.
• Build, develop, and cultivate crucial business relationships vital to project success and company growth.
• Supervise, train, and guide Contracts Managers reporting to you.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and work with CAD systems (e.g., AutoCAD & Solid Edge).
• University Degree, ideally with first-class honors in a technical field such as design or engineering.
• Effective time management skills for yourself and others.
• CSCS card and SMSTS certification (training can be provided).
• Experience with Microsoft Project or similar project management software.
• Proven experience managing technical projects exceeding £1 million in value.
• Proficiency in managing project budgets and forecasts.
• Experience in managing projects within the construction fit-out sector.
• Knowledge of furniture design and installation would be advantageous.
• Experience in management and HR would be beneficial.
