Help Bring Ulster-Scots Heritage to Life

The Commissioner for the Ulster-Scots & Ulster-British Tradition (CUSUBT) is seeking a motivated, organised and enthusiastic individual to join our team at an exciting stage in our journey.

This is more than an administration role.

It’s an opportunity to play a part in preserving, promoting and celebrating the rich language, culture, traditions and heritage of the Ulster-Scots and Ulster-British community across Northern Ireland.

As one of the early members of this developing organisation, you’ll have the chance to make a genuine impact, help shape how we work, and contribute to projects and events that connect with communities, schools, organisations and stakeholders throughout Northern Ireland and beyond.

Working at the heart of our organisation, you’ll help ensure everything runs smoothly while supporting work that honours our shared heritage and creates opportunities for future generations to learn about and engage with Ulster-Scots culture.

You’ll be involved in a wide range of activities, from organising cultural events and supporting stakeholder engagement to coordinating meetings, assisting with finance and helping deliver key projects.

πŸš€ What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting People and Building Connections

Β· Acting as a welcoming first point of contact for visitors, stakeholders and members of the public.

Β· Building positive relationships with colleagues, community groups and partner organisations.

Β· Supporting meetings, engagements and communications that help promote the work of the Commissioner.

Helping Deliver Exciting Events

Β· Assisting with the planning and delivery of cultural events, launches, meetings and stakeholder engagements.

Β· Coordinating venues, travel, accommodation and event logistics.

Β· Helping create memorable experiences that showcase Ulster-Scots and Ulster-British heritage.

Keeping the Organisation Running Smoothly

Β· Managing correspondence, records, databases and administrative systems.

Β· Supporting finance, procurement and payroll processes.

Β· Assisting with recruitment and HR administration.

Β· Helping improve procedures and support the growth of a new organisation.

We’re searching for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in being organised and wants to be part of a meaningful mission.

You may already have experience in administration, customer service, events, office support or a similar role.
