Location: Ballymena
Hours: 37 per week, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
Hourly Rate: £13.69
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer‑focused Counter Assistant to join our team in Ballymena. This front‑line role is essential in providing a high‑quality customer experience to tenants, applicants, and visitors. You will be the first point of contact for housing‑related queries at the public counter and will provide general administrative support within the office.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career, with strong communication skills and an interest in office administration and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Welcome and assist tenants, applicants, and visitors at the counter.
- Respond to housing‑related queries professionally and efficiently.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct queries appropriately.
Administrative Duties
- Provide general office support including filing, data entry, and document management.
- Support the maintenance department with administrative tasks.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with organisational requirements.
Team Support
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the East Area and North Regional Management teams.
- Contribute to a positive and professional office environment.
Essential Requirements
- Five GCSEs (or equivalent).
- Intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Less than one year’s experience in administration or customer service (desirable but not essential).
- Access NI (Basic) clearance.
