Job Title:Credit Controller
Location:Bolton (Parklands)
Full Time Monday to Friday, Office based – 2 shift between 8:00 am till 5:30pm
Salary Competitive Salary (DOE)
Work Level:6 months Temporary to Permanent

Role Summary
Manage an allocated portfolio of customer accounts with regard to all aspects of credit management. A continuous drive to reduce overdue balances and ensure all customers trade within their agreed credit limits. Apply a high level of due diligence in the onboarding of new customers. Provide management with regular status updates and ensure queries are escalated and resolved within agreed SLA’s.

Job Function

  • Management of client debt balances and the chasing of outstanding accounts
  • Continued review of customers against credit limits
  • Due diligence when onboarding new customers
  • Production of management information (status/aged debtors reporting)
  • KPI reporting
  • Liaise with internal and external bodies to resolve queries
  • Issuing monthly customer statements
  • Resolving queries on accounts and maintaining appropriate records
  • Account and statement reconciliations
  • Monitor payments received and balances due
  • Maintain sales ledger records in and off system
  • General administration and ad hoc duties as required


  • Experience in fast paced sales ledger environment
  • Experience in financial accounting software, such as Microsoft Dynamics (AX) is preferred but not essential
  • Strong Excel/Microsoft office skills
  • Be able to prioritise workload
  • Willingness to learn and proactively seek resolutions
  • A good team player as well as having the ability to work independently
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Well organised and be able to work to deadlines displaying speed and accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
