Our client, A Large public sector organisation, based in the Belfast area is looking for a Project Manager to join their team.
Duration: October 2026 with possible extension
Rate of pay: £24.59 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 37 hours per week 9am to 5pm
Location: Belfast
Main Duties:
Lead and coordinate projects within the PMO, ensuring alignment with the People Strategy and adherence to NICS governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
Apply PRINCE2 principles and project management best practices, ensuring effective planning, delivery, monitoring, and closure of projects.
Support the implementation of NICS People Strategy 2025-2030, reflecting NICS values.
Maintain rigorous corporate governance, ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with statutory and organisational requirements.
Engage stakeholders across departments, fostering collaborative working relationships and clear communication of project objectives and progress.
Identify risks and issues, recommend mitigations, and ensure quality assurance in all project activities.
Essential Criteria:
- Prince 2 Practitioner
- Degree
- At least 2 years experience delivering projects in a People/Organisational Development/HR context, with proven ability to work within a PMO and corporate governance environment.
Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills; adept at influencing stakeholders and building effective relationships.
Desired Criteria:
- Evidence of meeting Deputy Principal competency requirements, including leading and communicating, collaborating and partnering, delivering at pace, and managing a quality service.
