Digital Systems Manager

We are recruiting for a Digital Systems Manager to provide specialist technical and business support across a range of line-of-business IT systems and services. This role will help ensure systems are secure, reliable, well-supported and aligned with organisational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support line-of-business IT systems, including service requests, incidents, upgrades and change activity.
• Work with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to troubleshoot issues and improve service delivery.
• Support the development, implementation, testing and documentation of complex IT solutions.
• Monitor system performance, capacity and availability, taking action where required.
• Assist with business planning, procurement activity, project work and service improvement initiatives.
• Provide guidance, training and support to IT colleagues and system users.

Essential Criteria

• A third-level qualification in an ICT, systems development, computing or related subject, plus at least three years’ experience in a Systems Manager or similar role; or at least five years’ relevant experience in a Systems Manager or similar role.
• Experience supporting and administering line-of-business IT systems, including incident management, service requests, upgrades, testing and change activity.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate issues, identify solutions and work with suppliers or stakeholders to resolve problems.
• Experience supporting the development, implementation and documentation of complex ICT systems or digital solutions.
• Ability to monitor system performance, availability and capacity, and take appropriate action to maintain service continuity.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and contribute to service improvement or project work.
