Domestic Assistant – Craigavon.

We are recruiting Domestic Assistants to join our client in Craigavon.

Location: Craigavon
Start Date: Immediate
Temporary 3 months initially

Shift times : 22.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 4.45pm – 9.30pm and be required to work 1 weekend in 3 (may be required to work extra hours, so must be flexible)

Rate of Pay: £12.71 – £23.26 per hour

Role Overview

We are currently recruiting a Domestic Assistant to join a busy healthcare environment in Craigavon. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitising wards, corridors, and clinical areas
• Maintaining high standards of infection control and hygiene
• Safe handling and disposal of waste, including clinical waste
• Cleaning patient rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas
• Operating cleaning equipment and using appropriate cleaning materials
• Ensuring all areas are kept clean, tidy, and hazard-free
• Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and hygiene products
• Following all hospital health and safety procedures

Essential Requirements

• Must be able to comply with uniform policy at all times
• Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and evenings
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Desirable (but not essential)

• Previous experience in a domestic, cleaning, or healthcare setting
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures
