We are currently recruiting an Executive Officer 2 for our client based in the Magee Campus, Derry/Londonderry. The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork and ANI completed.

 

Start date: ASAP start

Rate of pay: £13.75PH

Duration: 3/29/2026

Hours of work: 37

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Secretariat Support

  • Provide administrative support for the Secretariat Team and the Expansion Taskforce, including diary management, arranging travel and accommodation (if necessary), arranging venues and hospitality for meetings, processing of expenses claims and maintenance of a diary system for the Secretariat.
  • Ensure appropriate records management systems, relating to all aspects of the Expansion Taskforce business, are in place and effectively maintained.
  • Prepare and process invoices in accordance with Account NI procedures.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

 

Branch and Staff Management:

  • co-ordination of group mailbox to include monitoring, filtering, and prioritising e-mails and passing to relevant team for action, where appropriate.
  • Contributing to the implementation of the overall Branch Business Plan.
  • Information Management/Coordination and Research Activities such as commission, collate and quality assure returns to directorate wide exercises.
  • Commission, collate and quality assure returns or draft responses, on behalf of the branch.
  • FOI cases – managing the process for recording, allocating, monitoring and providing timely responses ensuring completion of the various stages within specified timescales.

 

 

Essential Criteria applicants must have:

  • 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English & 2 A Levels (Proof of certs required)
  • Experience of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally and creating positive relationships; 
  • Strong written communication skills, with experience of drafting briefings, correspondence and submissions; 
  • Strong time management  and organisational skills; the ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously and to prioritise and meet deadlines; 
  • Ability to work accurately at pace; 
  • Attention to detail; and 
  • Understanding of financial monitoring processes. 

 

Desirable but not essential:

  • At least one year experience in a general EO2 post.
  • Previous experience in a role with Secretariat experience.
