We are currently recruiting for an Executive officer 2 based in Belfast. The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork, ANI clearance has been completed.

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 6 Months with a possibility of extension

Rate of pay: £15.83

Hours of work:

9-5 Monday-Friday however the post may require regular longer hours dependent on business need.
4 days in office, Friday is usually work from home

Key Responsibilities:

This job requires a high level of personal organisation and an ability to prioritise among many competing tasks in a high-pressured environment. The post holder must work independently and diligently.
The main role of this post is to manage the Junior Minister’s diary, whilst providing administrative support to Private Secretaries,Special Advisers and Diary Secretary.
The main duties of the role are to:
– manage the Junior Minister’s Diary.
– provide support to the Diary Secretary.
– develop close working relationship between offices and ensure effective co-ordination is maintained in relation to Ministerial events and meetings and requires strong negotiating and communication skills.
– assist the Diary Secretary to commission timely briefing and advice on the suitability of Ministers’ attendance at meetings and events.
– Collate and print papers as required for the JM Private Secretary.
– act as an efficient interface between Departmental Officials, members of the public and the Junior Minister.
– assist the JM Private Secretary to arrange programmes for outside visits, liaising with organisers and ensuring that appropriate arrangements are made.
– assist the Private Secretaries and Diary Secretary in the overall operational management of the Private Office on an ad hoc basis

Essential Criteria applicants must have:

Proof of 5 GCSEs including English and Maths grade C or above or the equivalent and 2 A-levels

· Strong organisational and administrative skills.

Access to a vehicle/form of transport as will be required to undertake in person meetings with and observation visits with Funded groups across the province (some of these areas will be rural and not on public transport routes).
