We are currently recruiting for Executive Officer for our client in Belfast based in Clarendon Dock. The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork.

 

Start date: ASAP

Duration: Until the end of March

Hours of work: Full time 36.25 hours

Monday to Thursday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm and Friday 9.00am to 4.35 pm

Rate of pay: £11.87

 

Key people management responsibilities

The post is a line management role. The post-holder will have responsibility for staff

and will oversee the work of others within the team. The post-holder may also be

required to manage Temporary Administrative Assistants during certain times of the

year.

 

The post-holder will:

  • manage and develop staff within their areas of responsibility
  • ensure staff are clear about their roles and responsibilities
  • co-ordinate and monitor the work of staff within their remit
  • manage staff performance and deal effectively with under performance
  • communicate clearly Corporate, Operational, Team, Section and individual objectives.
  • have due regard at all times for the personal health and safety for oneself and
  • others within the relevant section, team, Business Unit and organisation in general.
  • Key financial management responsibilities
  • The post holder will monitor and report on aspects of budgetary control in
  • relation to the scope of this role.

 

Essential Criteria applicants must have:

  • One year’s experience of working in a high quality
  • administration/process environment, to include the use of IT to
  • support delivery
  • Planning and managing work with high accuracy to achieve deadlines
  • Experience of communicating effectively with internal and/or external customers.
  • Experience of working effectively within a team and/or organisation
  • Experience of demonstrating initiative and/or taking decisions as
  • appropriate, e.g. to improve processes
  • five GCSE/GCE passes (at A, B or C) with Maths and English.

  • Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to use own initiative.
