Duration: 3 months (with the possibility of extension)
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Rate of Pay: £15.97 per hour
Main Duties:
The postholder must be prepared to travel as they will be required to attend and deliver training in all current CMS and DWP Services venues (Belfast, Ballymena, Lisahally, Ballykelly). However, it is envisaged that the Learning & Development Unit will ultimately be based within teams in Belfast and the North West. The postholder must also be prepared to deliver training within a formal setting, over MS Teams and other video conferencing technologies.The main duties and responsibilities of this post will include: Act as an internal training consultant, assisting managers at all grades to identify training requirements in their teams; Deliver staff training programmes to staff at all grades, acting as a lead or co-presenter; To work as part of a team to develop and deliver bespoke training and communications packages for staff within NICS and for external stakeholders through training events, written briefs, procedures, desk aids and power point presentations; Evaluate the effectiveness of training and development activities in meeting identified training needs and in achieving business objectives; Creating and improving training material to meet trainee requirements; Travel throughout NI and GB, as and when required; Advise line managers on options available to meet the training and development needs of their staff; Participate and lead at meetings to discuss CMS and DWP Services Training development and delivery; Regularly represent Northern Ireland Civil Service / DfC / DWP Services training team at training events in NI and GB. Assist in the development and delivery of communications and training plans; Deliver training within a formal setting, over MS Teams and other video conferencing technologies to deliver procedures and their associated computer systems; Ad-hoc duties when dealing with training and communication as and when required.
Essential Criteria:
At least 12 months relevant working experience supporting the designing and delivering of training / consolidation of products within DWP Services. We would prefer relevant working experience supporting the training / consolidation of Retirement Services or Pension Credit at this time.
