We are currently recruiting for an admin officer based in Belfast. The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork, ANI clearance has been completed.

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 3 months

Rate of pay: £11.87

Hours of work: 37 hours a week (Monday to Thursday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm and Friday 9.00
am to 4.35 pm)

 

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all processing activities effectively and efficiently ensuring that the work
of the section meets the needs identified by line management;
3.2 assist line management in carrying out overall responsibility for organisation,
administration and support by agreeing priorities, considering capacities to meet
requirements and identifying mechanisms for processing work effectively and
efficiently;
Update, print and issue stationery and instructions to centres;

Be responsible for moderation processing of Entry Level, CoPE and OLA and the management of associated documentation;

Assist with creation and management of schedules for visiting moderation and visiting examined subjects;
Liaise with Distribution to ensure all coursework is collected from appropriate centres on agreed dates;
Monitor submission of marks for all levels;

Assist line management in the maintenance, identification of need, development and testing of CCEA’s examination and moderation systems;

Be responsible for process and systems reviews and ongoing initiatives for creating and delivering efficiencies and value to the customer;
Assist line management in updating all procedures and desk top procedures as
required;

liaise with outside agencies, customers and other staff to ensure delivery of all administration activities;
Assist in the processing of all areas of work and dealing with day to day queries within and related to EAA administration as required;

Ensure that his / her area of the business remains fully up-to-date and compliant with the General Conditions of Recognition (GCOR);
Work within the EAA business unit or wider organisation as required undertaking duties commensurate with your grade.

Essential Criteria applicants must have:

One year’s experience of working in a high quality

administration/process environment, to include the use of IT to
support delivery

Two Planning and managing work with high accuracy to achieve deadlines

Three Experience of communicating effectively with internal and/or external customers

Four Experience of working effectively within a team and/or organisation
Five Experience of demonstrating initiative and/or taking decisions as appropriate, e.g. to improve processes

five GCSE/GCE (or equivalence) passes (at A, B or C) with Maths and English.
( Proof of certs required ) We cannot pass your application without them

Desirable Criteria:

A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an administrative role
Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent communication skills.
Proven ability to use own initiative.

Ability to manage and motivate people
Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with great
interpersonal skills
