We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our client, based in Mallusk as a full-time EO2. This is a long-term temporary opportunity.
Our client is Northern Ireland’s Leading Public Sector Employer.
EO2 Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour

EO2 hours of work:
- Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
About the EO2 role:
Objectives:
- To provide effective management for their respective section, allocating work
and managing workloads according to business area priorities and in line with
staff instructions.
Main Activities:
Most offices are split into the following sections and your role could be
managing staff in any of these sections.
- Identification, Registration and Movement (IRM)
- Testing
- Trade
Duties in these sections include:
- Allocating work/managing workloads, according to business area priorities.
- Ensuring work is processed in accordance with Veterinary Service Animal Health Group (VSAHG) staff instructions.
- Measuring performance against VSAHG KPI’s.
- Dealing with complex customer queries (including at the front desk), and herd register checks.
- Removal and allocation of IRM restrictions on herds/animals as required.
- Developing staff competences and skills levels.
Corporate duties include:
- Ensuring performance management responsibilities are undertaken to the required standards/timescales.
- Adhering to absence management policies.
- Ensuring staff receive appropriate training and development.
- Ensuring adherence to information management/security policies (GDPR).
- Undertaking premises-related duties, e.g. risk assessments. Ensuring that the work environment is safe.
- Ensuring completion of KPI & Quality Assurance checks and maintaining records of completion.
- Holding regular team meetings.
- Attend and, when required, minute management meetings.
- Ensuring compliance within the requirements of DAERA’s Customer Service Standards, e.g. Telephony and Written Communication
Guidelines. - Managing own personal development and gaining an understanding of the other EO2/EO1 roles within the office.
Essential Criteria
- Maths and English GCSE’s (A-C) and 2 A levels
- Excellent ICT skills, including use if Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Experience in managing staff.
