Facilities/Maintenance Support

Cranfield , MK

Site-based position, 39-hour week, Permanent

27,691.52 per annum

Monday – Thursday 08:00 to 17:00 & Friday 08:00 – 13:20.

Multi Skilled Facilities Support roles provide the delivery of facilities support services across our clients site. The role will be responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance & business tasks. You will assist in the delivery of reactive, planned, and ad hoc maintenance tasks.

Suitable training can be provided however candidates should have the basic skills as mentioned below

Duties

• Weekly & monthly planned maintenance tasks
• First line response to reactive repairs.
• Minor building fabric repairs and modifications.
• Some Basic plumbing.
• Some Basic carpentry.
• General office cleaning
• Supporting external landscaping and cleaning as required
• Stock management
• Housekeeping of facilities plant rooms and workshop

Skills Required

• Manual Handling ability.
• Physical position so a good level of fitness is required
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Adaptable
• Flexible to clients requirements
• Ability to multitask
• Provide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress in a timely manner
• Hold a full UK driver’s licence.

Prior Experience Required

• Experience of building maintenance, handy person, janitorial duties.
• Ability to identify and select correct materials and tools for a job
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a building environment.
• Have a proactive approach to maintenance and building management.
• Ability to provide a schedule of works for identified additional / remedial works.
