We are seeking an immediately available Finance Officer or Qualified Accountant with significant specialist experience in Capital Accounting to support a critical period of work, including the year‑end close.

Key Requirements

The essential requirement for this role is substantial experience in Capital Accounting, including:

• Managing complex capital assets and detailed asset registers
• Hands-on use of an Asset Management System, specifically Real Asset Management (RAM)
• Recent or current experience operating within this specialist capital environment
• Strong understanding of asset valuation, movements, and reconciliations

Experience & Skills
Relevant and preferably substantial experience within the public sector

• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly during year-end processes
• Confident providing practical support and guidance around asset accounting and capital reporting requirements
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills within a complex financial framework

Role Focus

The successful candidate will:

• Provide independent assistance approaching and over the year‑end period
• Ensure accurate processing, reconciliation, and reporting of capital assets
• Support compliance with public‑sector financial governance and accounting standards
