Position– Fitter/Panel Wireman/Wirewoman:

Salary: £28,000 – £32,000p/a

Hours: Mon-Thurs 7:30am -16:00pm and Friday 7:30am -13:30pm

Location: St Helens WA9

My Client is looking for a Fitter/Panel Wiring person that will directly report to the Production Manager and. You will join an innovative company that leads the industry where you can develop your professional career.
This is a permanent position subject to a probation period.

Responsibilities:

• Build and assemble electrical systems, control panels and components according to engineering specifications
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
• Test and troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure proper functioning

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and wiring techniques
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues

Education and employment background
Required:

• Relevant electrical qualification e.g., level 3 qualified in a relevant field
• BTec or City and Guilds electrical qualification or recognised apprenticeship/training body

Desirable:

• The ideal candidate will have experience of electrical control panel wiring
• Experience with the assembly of protection and control panels used to control medium voltage switchgear
