General Assistant – Larne

  • Full time – 37 hours per week
  • £12.18 – 24.36 per hour (depending on shift worked)

Main Purpose of the Role:

Provide support to the team, including transport of service users and staff using company vehicles, as required.

Provide efficient and effective cleaning/caretaking duties ensuring the security and general appearance of the building and surrounding areas are maintained to a high standard.

Work as part of a team to deliver excellent service!

Job Duties:

  • Open and close premises and grounds as required; ensuring all security checks are completed.

  • Report any incidents of accident / loss immediately and keep all records up to date.

  • Drive company vehicles adhering to driving legislation at all times.

  • Ensure that the company vehicles are deemed roadworthy by completing and keeping up to date pre-use records.

  • Undertake cleaning duties as required; Including kitchens, communal rooms & landscape surrounding the building.

  • Report any repairs or defects directly to the line manager.

  • Provide hospitality; including light refreshments on request for service users

  • Set up equipment & furniture as and when required to meet the needs of service users’ bookings.

  • Assist with simple administrative duties as required; including the implementation of customer feedback and complaints.

  • Uphold excellent service standards at all times ensuring service users’ experience are maintained, monitored and improved.

Essential Criteria:

  1. Applicants must have a minimum of Entry Level Essential Skills qualifications in Adult Literacy and Adult Numeracy.

  1. Be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that they have Six months (2 years if they do not have the educational qualification in criteria 1) experience to include:

  • Commercial cleaning / Security duties

    Simple administrative duties

  • Dealing effectively with members of the public
  1. Applicants must hold a full current driving licence valid in the UK.

  1. Hold, or be willing to obtain, a D1 licence and Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) qualification.
