Our client is a long standing and growing footwear retailer based in Hemel Hempstead.
They are looking to hire an enthusiastic individual to work within the finance team and manage their stock.
Along with the below, they are looking for someone with good spreadsheet skills, someone who is systems focused, and has excellent attention to detail and is inquisitive.
Your main duties will be:
? Processing weekly shop stock takes: Investigate discrepancies with Area Managers and adjust accordingly.
? Processing shop transfers: Processing stock movement shop to shop and shop to warehouse
? Daily shop stock investigations: Shops request ad hoc checks if they identify differences. Investigate and correct.
? Week End processing: Each week has a formal close, so stock transactions cannot be adjusted in a closed period. Certain reconciliation reports have to be run and errors or differences have to be investigated before closing the week.
? Warehouse stock take: moving to perpetual warehouse stock take
? Confirmation of shop weekly deliveries: Investigate picking list differences
? Daily concession file processing: Sales through concession stores, the stock is removed via a csv file upload. Any issues are investigated and followed up.
? Tracking supplier returns and chasing up
? Reconciling goods in notes against invoices received.
? Reconciling Drop Ship stock movements and supplier statements
? Various ad hoc tasks as and when the business requires
? Liaising closely with our warehouse
Person Specification:
? Microsoft Office in particular Excel
? Ability to gather large volumes of data from various sources
? Willingness to acquire a great deal of knowledge quickly
? Able to work independently and think logically
? High standards of communication (written and oral), accuracy and numeracy
? Must be flexible, a good team-worker with interpersonal skills
? Must have good organisational skills
The Head office team and warehouse is based in Hemel Hempstead with most staff working 4 days per week, with the option to work at least 1 day a week from home.
The working hours for this role are 8.30am to 5pm (30-minute lunch), 9am to 5.30pm (30-minute lunch) or 9am to 6pm (1 hour lunch).
This is a permanent and full-time position, offering £24k to £26k as a starting salary.
