Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible working available)

About the Role
We are seeking a talented Graphic/Multimedia Designer to join our team in Belfast City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your creative skills and expertise in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Within a specialist centralised communications team. You will contribute to the delivery of a range of internal and external design projects across a wide range of key business areas. The role offers a hybrid work style, with 40% of time based at the client’s office, in Belfast City Centre.
You will play a critical role in delivering professional design and multimedia solutions, ensuring all outputs are of the highest quality and align with departmental guidelines.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide professional advice and expertise for design and multimedia projects.
- Deliver high-quality design and multimedia briefs within agreed timeframes.
- Produce error-free, finished artwork and videos for public, press, or online publication.
- Ensure all outputs adhere to departmental brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with the HPTO Graphic Designer, internal teams, and external stakeholders to develop creative concepts.
- Manage and prioritize design and multimedia tasks.
- Contribute creative input to projects and initiatives, including social media campaigns.
- Maintain organized filing of InDesign files and associated packaged assets.
- Follow backup procedures and complete associated administrative functions.
- Create fresh, modern publication designs and multimedia content, including imagery, animations, videos, and social media assets.
- Utilize multimedia tools to engage target audiences, including animated sequences, video/audio editing, and textual animations.
- Advise on design/multimedia issues and identify new opportunities for improved communication.
- Ensure all design work complies with accessibility requirements.
- Work with existing design team to develop accessibility skills
- Update colleagues on project progress and establish strong working relationships.
- Conduct research on emerging trends in media techniques and design innovation.
Essential Criteria
- Education: Degree in Graphic Design or Multimedia Design.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in graphic design, including print, online, and multimedia design.
