Job Advertisement: Agriculture Instructor
Start Date: 02/09/2024
Location: Greenmount, Antrim
Duration: 2024/2025 Academic Year (9 months)
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, 37 Hours per week
Rate of Pay: £15.97 Per Hour
Main Duties:
1. To teach a range of practical machinery skills to Level 2 and 3 students, as specified in the course programme. Skills to include preparing machinery for work, pre-use
checks, identification of common faults, operating a range of machinery, carrying out risk assessments and post operating procedures.
2. To assess student competence in a range of practical machinery
3. To complete all appropriate documentation relating to each instruction and assessment session as required.
4. To record/evaluate learner performance and provide feedback.
5. To undertake required training as prescribed by Course Awarding Bodies, funding agencies, DAERA, CAFRE
6. To undertake all other duties as assigned by line manager.
7. To attend FE Team meetings.
Essential Criteria:
The applicant must possess a minimum of a:
Level 3 qualification or work-based Level 3 qualification in Agriculture (livestock).
Or
Level 3 qualification in Land Based Engineering.
Or
A National Diploma/Extended Diploma Level 3 qualification in Agriculture
AND
Practical experience of working with a range of agricultural machinery.
Desired Criteria:
Previous experience of delivery and assessment of student learning is also beneficial.
