Are you a strategic financial leader ready to make a significant impact in a large, complex organisation? We’re seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Strategic Financial Management & Business Partnering to lead critical financial functions including strategic planning, business partnering, procurement, and economic advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of financial strategies, plans, and performance frameworks.
• Oversee budget setting, financial reporting, and forecasting for revenue and capital budgets.
• Provide expert financial advice on strategic business cases and savings plans.
• Manage procurement strategy and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
• Lead and develop a team of Finance Business Partners, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure financial resources are aligned with organisational priorities.

What We’re Looking For

• Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS).
• Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in a middle-management role within a large organisation.
• Proven ability to lead financial planning and performance management in a complex environment.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and influencing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Valid driving licence or access to transport for business use.

Desirable

• Experience in the public sector.
• Knowledge of public sector procurement and economic appraisal processes.
