Hospital Porter – Craigavon.

We are currently recruiting for a Hospital Porter to join a busy healthcare team in Craigavon.

Location: Craigavon
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Pay Rates:

• £12.71 per hour (Monday to Friday)
• £17.92 per hour (After 8pm and Saturdays)
• £23.26 per hour (Sundays)

Shift Patterns: Must be fully flexible to work a range of shifts, including:

• 8:30am – 4:30pm
• 9:00am – 5:00pm
• 11:00am – 7:00pm
• Weekend shifts as required

The Role

As a Hospital Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the hospital, ensuring patients, equipment, medical supplies and essential items are transported safely and efficiently throughout the site.

Duties Include:

• Transporting patients by wheelchair, trolley or bed between wards and departments.
• Delivering blood samples and collecting items from laboratories.
• Transporting deceased patients to the mortuary with dignity and professionalism.
• Delivering medication, medical supplies and pharmacy items throughout the hospital.
• Moving furniture, equipment, linen and waste between departments.
• Collecting and delivering post across hospital sites.
• Maintaining accurate records of patient movements and deliveries.
• Ensuring equipment, vehicles and work areas are kept clean and reporting any faults.
• Providing cover across hospital departments and supporting nearby sites when required.
