Job Opportunity: Household Recycling Attendant – Ballymena

Location: Ballymena
Hours: 37 hours per week (exact schedule confirmed upon appointment)
3 months initially
Pay: £13.69 per hour

We’re seeking a reliable and customer-focused individual to join the team as a Household Recycling Attendant. This hands-on role involves supporting the daily operations of local recycling centres, assisting the public with waste disposal, maintaining site cleanliness, and ensuring safe and efficient traffic flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and assist the public with correct waste disposal and recycling
• Support segregation of materials for reuse, recycling, and general waste
• Monitor site usage and enforce access rules
• Maintain cleanliness across the site, including buildings and surrounding areas
• Complete operational paperwork and support contractors as needed
• Assist with public awareness activities and safe handling of hazardous waste
• Manage traffic flow and oversee container usage to prevent overflow

Essential Criteria (must be clearly outlined on CV)

✅ Minimum 1 year’s experience in a waste operations environment ✅ Minimum 1 year’s experience working within a team ✅ Minimum 1 year’s experience in a customer service role, handling complaints and queries from the public
