Housekeeper / Cook – Dundrod

£12.31 per hour
Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm

Join a dedicated team supporting young people in a residential unit. This dual-role position involves managing housekeeping and catering services while promoting a clean, safe, and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities

Catering Duties:

• Plan meals and manage food stock within budget
• Prepare and serve meals, ensuring hygiene and safety standards
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and records (e.g. temperature charts, stock rotation)
• Involve young people in meal planning and preparation as part of their care plans

Housekeeping Duties:

• Clean and maintain all areas of the building (bedrooms, bathrooms, offices, etc.)
• Manage cleaning supplies and report maintenance issues
• Oversee laundry and linen changes
• Encourage young people to participate in daily upkeep tasks

Essential Requirements

• City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation and Cooking
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Cook or Housekeeper
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent)
• Strong teamwork, planning, communication, and resource management skills
