Job Title: HR Advisor
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Stockport, SK3
Salary: £26,455 per annum
Hours: Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm

The Role:

  • To provide comprehensive advice and guidance to managers and employees in relation to employment legislation, terms and conditions of employment and HR policies and procedures.
  • To assist the HR team in the delivery of an efficient and effective HR service, ensuring that HR issues are handled in accordance with policies and procedures, employment legislation and best professional practice.
  • To support the payroll administration.
  • To assist in the coordination, management and monitoring of sickness absence and to provide advice and support to Managers, including attending absence review meetings and liaising with the Occupational Health, counselling service and physiotherapy providers as necessary. To be involved in the more complex cases. To ensure consistency of application and fairness.
  • To ensure that accurate HR records are maintained and appropriate systems are developed in order to provide a range of regular management reports in respect of HR topics, i.e. sickness absence, turnover, accident statistics, equality data, including the collection, analysis and presentation of this information.
  • To support lower level ER cases, supporting investigation meetings.
  • To demonstrate commitment to equal opportunities and diversity and to assist in the establishing of good employment practice within the company.
  • To ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act and all relevant legislation.

The Candidate

  • Previous HR experience
  • Experience of payroll administrations
  • Excellent IT skills; ability to use Microsoft Office packages including Work, Excel and Outlook
  • Must be able to demonstrate good team working skills
  • High level of attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • A friendly professional manner and appearance
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Fully qualified or working towards CIPD/other relevant and equivalent qualification
