About the role
As HR Advisor (Resourcing), you will support the Senior HR Advisor in delivering employee resourcing activity in line with policy, legislation and HR best practice. You will help ensure recruitment and selection processes are well planned, professionally delivered and focused on excellent service for candidates and hiring managers.
What you’ll do
- Support the delivery of end-to-end recruitment and selection activity.
- Provide advice, guidance and support to managers and panel members on resourcing matters.
- Prepare and review recruitment documentation, including job descriptions, selection plans and candidate information.
- Help develop effective assessment and testing approaches in partnership with Organisation Development colleagues.
- Coordinate advertisements, candidate communication, pre-employment checks and contracts of employment.
- Maintain accurate records and produce clear reports and management information.
- Work collaboratively with HR, Finance, IT and other stakeholders to deliver a high-quality service.
What we’re looking for
- A relevant HR qualification at Level 5 or above, with suitable HR resourcing experience.
- Current Associate CIPD membership or the ability to obtain it within one year.
- Experience in recruitment and selection, resourcing advice, policy implementation, and HR reporting.
- A sound understanding of employment legislation relating to employee resourcing.
- Excellent planning, organisation, attention to detail and customer service skills.
- The ability to work accurately under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- A driving licence or access to transport to meet the full requirements of the post.
Desirable experience
- Planning and leading a major recruitment campaign.
- Working within local government or the public sector.
