Job Title: Industrial Sewing Machinist
Location: Newport
Salary: £11.00 per hour Hours: Full time Temporary to permanent Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm.

Here at The Recruitment Co we are recruiting a Temporary to permanent Sewing Machinist to work for a company based in Newport.

Job Requirements:

• Good timekeeping.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• To produce work to the quality/specifications and time frame required.
• Testing graphics on display stands where required.
• To detect any issues found at needle point or print quality / quantities.
• Liaising with colleagues regarding job scheduling.
• Report or solve any machine issues to the Production Manager.
• Have a positive can-do attitude and having a flexible attitude towards hours.

Skills

• Ability to use industrial sewing machine with conveyor (training will be given).
• Having experience working with stretchy fabrics particularly sewing Kader into this type of material, would be very useful but not essential.
• Be able to work within a close operational environment.
• Be willing to learn how to use a Konsberg digital fabric cutting machine and work in other areas of production when required.

• Digital print / finishing experience

To be considered for this role you must have previous sewing machine experience either industrial or general is fine.
