Title: IT Infrastructure Manager

Location: Blackpool

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Head of IT, the IT Infrastructure Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the stability, security, and alignment of our IT landscape with business objectives.
With a strong understanding of firewalls, switches, virtualization, storage systems, Windows Servers, VMware, cloud solutions, Office 365, SharePoint, and OneDrive. This role offers broad exposure to various technologies, In numerous start-up investment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and optimise IT infrastructures, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
Ensure data security and integrity through robust firewalls and access controls.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and evaluate their potential for implementation.
Oversee administration of cloud-based services (Office 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.).
Manage virtualisation technologies (VMware) to optimise resource utilisation.
Develop and implement effective strategies for cloud-based backup solutions.
Execute disaster recovery plans to minimise downtime.
Evaluate, select, and manage vendor relationships.
Provide coaching and support to IT colleagues.
Improve and maintain documentation of IT services.
Assist in the creation of policies and processes for external accreditations.

Required experience/ Qualifications:

6+ years in multidisciplinary IT environments.
Experience in start-ups and successful business development.
Proficiency in Microsoft Business Domains, virtual and physical infrastructures, storage systems, network switching, WiFi, VLANs, firewalls, infrastructure-wide monitoring tools, VPNs, VOIP solutions, backup and DR solutions, MDM software, antivirus solutions, security, encryption, and cloud services (Microsoft Office 365, Azure, AWS)
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Proven experience in a senior IT role with a focus on infrastructure and systems.
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, MCSE, and VMware are highly desirable.
