Legal Secretary for Senior Partner

Location: Altrincham, Greater Manchester

Salary: £21,564 pro rata, £17,251 for 4 days / £11.44 per hour

Hours: 9-5, with 45 minutes for lunch. This is a part-time position working 4 days per week.

I’m recruiting for a junior Legal Secretary to support a Senior Partner in a legal firm. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a legal secretarial role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audio and copy typing
• Preparing and handling legal documents
• Completing SDLT and Land Registry forms
• Preparing Court documentation
• Performing legal searches
• Managing diaries
• Meeting and greeting clients
• General administration tasks
• Answering calls and managing correspondence
• Filing and record keeping

Requirements:

• Previous legal secretarial experience is essential
• Strong typing skills and proficiency in audio and copy typing
• Familiarity with SDLT forms, Land Registry forms, and legal documentation
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage diaries and perform administrative duties efficiently
• Professional demeanor and excellent client-facing skills
