MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The primary purpose of the Leisure Centre Attendant role is to carry out various duties throughout Seven Towers Leisure Centre as directed by the Senior Attendant to ensure the delivery of a quality leisure service to all customers.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Delivery
- Carry out poolside duties for various pools and areas in accordance with the centre’s Normal Operation Procedure (NOP) and Emergency Action Plan (EAP).
- Set up and dismantle equipment for special events and activities.
- Supervise changing/shower rooms and other parts of the center.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the center and surrounding grounds.
- Complete documentation related to safety checks, cleaning schedules, accidents/incidents, etc.
- Collect user tickets and control access to facilities.
- Provide excellent customer care and address customer queries and complaints.
- Assist in technical aspects and report faults.
- Participate in ongoing training and maintain relevant qualifications.
- Assist with lessons, training, and coaching courses.
- Assist with opening up and evening lock-up procedures.
- Assist at other council areas if required.
- Provide assistance to wheelchair users.
- Comply with child protection policy requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety/COSSH requirements.
- Participate in the center’s achievement/maintenance of Quest.
- Perform other duties within the post holder’s responsibility and capabilities.

Person Specification
Essential Criteria
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a current lifesaving qualification, minimum National Pool Lifeguard Award.
- Ability to pass a swim competency assessment.
- Candidates must have and maintain a sufficient level of fitness to satisfactorily discharge the duties and responsibilities of the post.
