We are currently recruiting LGV Driver to join our client in Ballymena

37 hours per week
3 months with possible extension
£14.84 per hour

Job duties :

Drive any vehicles the postholder is trained in, including but not limited to those in connection with refuse collection, recycling and disposal vehicles, street cleansing services and other operational services vehicles within any given area of the Borough. Ensuring the vehicle is not overloaded and is safely manoeuvred on its daily route

Carry out pre-use checks before driving any vehicle, completing and returning a vehicle pre-use check report to the postholder’s line manager as instructed

Carry out daily cleaning and routine checks of vehicles and components, including the cleaning and operation of any fitted power mechanism. Ensure the sweeper is washed out at end of each working day, wearing appropriate PPE as instructed and assist with cleaning the weighbridge and sump on a weekly basis

At the beginning and end of shift, ensure the vehicle has fuel, oil and water as required and is safe for the road, ensuring the vehicle is empty (or advise line manager of waste remaining in vehicle) when returned to the allocated parking location each evening

Sweeper driving duties will include: collect and remove all litter detritus, dirt, leaves etc. from public places (including roads, pavements and pedestrianised areas

Essential Criteria :
MUST HAVE Valid Category C LGV Driving Licence
Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card
Minimum of one years’ continous LGV Driver experience
Must successfully pass a driving assessment
