Location: Larne Depot
Pay Grade: £13.69 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week (Tuesday to Friday)
Contract Duration: 3 months with possible extension

About the Role:

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Waste Labourer to join our team at Larne. This is a physically demanding role working outdoors in all weather conditions, supporting waste collection and environmental services across the area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the collection and disposal of waste and recycling materials.
• Operate equipment and vehicles under supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and report hazards or incidents.
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet service delivery targets.

Essential Criteria (Shortlisting):

1. One year’s experience in general labouring in an outdoors environment
2. Awareness of Health & Safety and COSHH legislation

Desirable Criteria:

1. Valid Category B Driving Licence
   

   Any penalty points active on the driving licence must be declared, along with the relevant code. These will be assessed for relevance to the duties of the post.

2. One year’s previous experience working in a waste environment

Additional Information:

• Uniform and training will be provided.
• Applicants must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• This is a temporary post for 3 months, with the possibility of extension.
