We are currently seeking a part-time temporary ongoing part-time Library assistant for our Client based in Carrickfergus Library . This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a public sector body. STARTING ASAP, Working on a 2 week rota basis

Hours of work:

Week 1

Monday 13.00 – 20:00

Tuesday 10:00 – 17:30

Wednesday10.00- 17:30

Thursday 10:00 – 17:30

Friday 09:30 – 17:00

Week 2

Monday 10.00 – 17:00

Tuesday 10:00 – 17:30

Wednesday 13.30- 20:00

Friday 09:30 – 17:00

Saturday 9.30-17.00

Rate of pay is £12.52 per hour. Saturday pay rate £18.78 per hour

Duties include:

· Handling client queries using print & electronic resources

· Registering clients

· Introducing and explaining library services, rules and regulations

· Provide all library services to meet the learning , information, leisure and cultural needs of the local community.

Essential Criteria:

· Must have 5 GCSE’s including English language and Maths grade C or equivalent

· 1 years experience providing face to face service with the public.

· Experience working with young children and elderly people

· Experience using ICT for accessing, selecting and using information
