📚 Job Opportunity: Part-Time Library Assistant – Irvinestown 📚

We are currently seeking a temporary, ongoing part-time Library Assistant for our public sector client based in Irvinnestown Library. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a community-focused environment.

🕒 Hours of Work

Friday 10-5pm

Saturday 10-1pm

💷 Rate of Pay:
£13.63 per hour & Saturday rate £20.45 per hour

📝 Duties Include:

• Handling client queries using print and electronic resources
• Registering clients and explaining library services
• Enforcing library rules and regulations
• Delivering services that support learning, leisure, and cultural needs of the local community
• Conducting rhythm & rhyme & storyboard with primary school children

✅ Essential Criteria:

• 5 GCSEs including English Language and Maths (Grade C or equivalent)
• Minimum 1 year’s experience in a face-to-face public service role
• Experience working with young children and elderly people
• Proficient in using ICT to access and manage information
• Must hold an Enhanced AccessNI clearance (Child’s Barring List)
• Experience working in a team environment
