We are currently seeking a temporary ongoing part-time Library assistant for our Client based in Portstewart. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a public sector body. STARTING ASAP

Working on a 2 week rota basis

Week 1

Monday 9.45-5

Thursday 1.30 – 8

Friday 9.30- 5

Week 2

Friday 9.30-5

Saturday 9.34-4

Rate of pay is £12.52 per hour. Saturday pay rate £18.78 per hour

Duties include:

· Handling client queries using print & electronic resources

· Registering clients

· Introducing and explaining library services, rules and regulations

· Provide all library services to meet the learning , information, leisure and cultural needs of the local community.

Essential Criteria:

· Must have 5 GCSE’s including English language and Maths grade C or equivalent

· 1 years experience providing face to face service with the public.

· Experience working with young children and elderly people

· Experience using ICT for accessing, selecting and using information
